Psychological Explanation : First of all, this shows various defense mechanisms. One is regression--it says that they will play uno and jacks like they were little kids in order to move on and forget about him. Also, it shows denial because the girl is trying to forget about the guy and denying that she will not cry and will not like him. She is trying to use repression by forgetting about him and moving on. She does not want to think about him but rather move on with her life and be a "big girl", so she says.
