Due Date: A Block: Tuesday 2/23 (end of class), D Block: Wednesday 2/24 (end of class).Working in pairs, your task is to find a recent news article dealing with the psychology of personality and use it as the starting point for an expanded, multimedia full explanation of the psychological concepts in the article. Think of it as current events for the digital age, or as attempting to give an example of the newspaper of the future (maybe you can all get jobs developing content for the new iPad).
Here are the step-by-step intructions:- Find a recent news article about the psychology of personality. I recommend using the advanced search option on Google. Be sure it’s a news article (from CNN, Time, Newsweek, etc.) and not a research paper (from the APA or other scholarly journal).
- Create a new wiki page under Psych in the News. The page should have the same title as the news article. Be sure to make a link from Psych in the News to the page you just created.
- Each group must have a different article. You can “claim” an article by completing step two above.
- Copy the entire news article and paste it on your wiki page. Be sure to provide the URL and a link for the original article, and give the name of the author and the date of the article.
- Find any psychological vocabulary terms in the article and link them to entries in the Psych M.D. If a word is not in the Psych M.D., you must make the Psych M.D. entry.
- Write an explanation for the article which would allow someone who has never studied psychology before to understand the article. Link any vocabulary terms to entries in the Psych M.D. If a word is not in the Psych M.D., you must make the Psych M.D. entry. This is the most important part of the assignment.
- Find pictures, charts, diagrams, videos, etc. that relate to the news article. Add these to your wiki page. Be sure to cite them using WAPA.
- Find and include links to websites with additional information related to your news article.
- Tag your wiki page (Chapter, topic, any other key words) so the wiki can find and suggest related content.
- Attempt to make the layout/design of the wiki page user friendly and attractive.
- It should be very clear to see which part is the original article and which part was written by you. Include your first names somewhere on the page.
